The plates and stickers for them come off my vehicle as soon as it's in the garage for the first time, never to get put back on. Exactly why I NEVER advertise for a dealership.

Which getting back on topic here, if my state, KANSAS didn't require the front plate, then why in the heck did the dealership feel teh need to install teh front plate bracket, and ruin a perfectly good front bumper cover? Advertisement, plain and simple. Went by local and state cops, and never pulled over. I can't even count the number of times where I've seen a pickup truck pulling a trailer, where the Truck didn't have a single plate on it, but the Trailer did. I'm more for the KS and Nebraska tag laws, that even go so far as your farm truck doesn't have to have a plate, if it's consistantly pulling a trailer. What the heck is the purpose then, other than for LEO's to more easilly see what state you are from, while you are meeting them head on. So, why require them? They cost the state and it's citizens more money, use up more resources, and aren't a valid plate anyhow.

You can't run just the front plate, they aren't the valid plate, which holds the current years' registration year sticker, and therefore aren't valid to run only the front plate. a trend? anyways- my rear glass was full of dew- and he looks at it and then looks at my passenger door- and says- why dont you have a mirror on the door? The saturn was the only one that I got a ticket. So knowing I never broke the law (except saturn)- I was stilled pulled over- so I dont want to give any reasons. The good thing is- that its been a long time since Ive been pulled over. When the bracket is installed properly, spacers are first attached to the bumper and then the bracket is attached to the spacers. Brackets are made with the contours of a bumper in mind. I learned early on- that in certain parts youll get pulled over for not fitting in- and giving them a reason with no plate. Not all vehicles are equipped with a front license plate bracket.
Its not worth it to me to get pulled over. But what gets expensive is getting the tix written off or the possible outcome of maybe forgetting to pay the tix. I learned over the years- to have my cars in proper working order. Widebody obs chevy.Cars are even ticketed by meter maids for not having front plates.
